The Mid-State Baptist Association is composed of 45 churches, two missions, and two churches under watch care. We have a total membership of 24,788. Our mission vision is reflected in our giving $1,701,247 to Southern Baptist mission causes. Locally, through our Ministry Center we provided food to 4,705 people and provided 11,595 articles of clothing to 2,820. More than 450 volunteers from our churches gave 5,401 hours to this ministry resulting in 79 professions of faith.
Our churches are very diverse in theology and worship ranging from very conservative to moderate. Their worship styles include contemporary, blended and traditional. We are bound together by the cords of love and the common goal of reaching our city, community and world for Jesus Christ. In every church you will be met with love and a warm welcome and a challenge to serve.

Bob Franklin became the Director of Missions of the Mid-State Baptist Association (formerly Macon Baptist Association) on June 2, 2004. He has served twelve years as Director of Missions for Noonday Association in Marietta, Georgia and eight years as Director of Missions in Montgomery, Alabama. He also served on several church staffs as Minister of Education.
He and his wife, Louise, have three sons; Lee, a physician in Montgomery, Alabama; David, pastor of Mabel White Memorial Baptist Church here in Macon; and John, prayer minister at LifeWay in Nashville Tennessee. Bob and Louise have eleven grandchildren.
Dr. Otis L.Andrews
Christian Family Counselor
Otis L. Andrews has served as Christian Family Counselor for the Association since October 1, 1984. He is married to the former Deidre Ann Parker of Wrightsville, Georgia. They have two married children; Kit Andrews, whose wife is Joy; and Kimberly Wrenn, whose husband is Alan.They also have two grandchildren: Sarah and Christopher Andrews.
Dr. Andrews is a graduate of Mercer University - B.A., 1964; Southern Baptist Theological Seminary - M.Div., 1969 and D.Min., 1980. He is a clinical member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists. He and his wife have served as marriage enrichment leaders for the Sunday School Board since 1976.

Pat joined the Mid-State Baptist Association in June 2002. For 17 years she was a secretary at Vineville Baptist Church where she and Charles are members. They have two daughters and four grandchildren.
Renee Grant, Church Health and Unity Liaison

Renee joined the Mid-State Baptist Association in August of 2006. Originally from Alabama, Renee and her family have been in Macon since September of 2004. She is married to Travers Grant and they have one daughter, Sydney. Renee and Travers are active members of Mabel White and teach the 2nd grade Sunday School Class. Renee is a graduate of Auburn University.

Betty Bell and her late husband Charles joined the staff of the Mid-State Baptist Association as volunteer managers for the Ministry Center in June 1995. She is an active member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Macon.
